The purpose of this article is to discuss education regarding the organic waste management of beneng taro with the zero-waste concept that we have implemented. As time goes by, there is an increase in the volume, types, and characteristics of waste. This is inseparable from the increase in Indonesia's population, which reached 270 million people in 2020, which contributes to the generation of waste of 67.8 million tons per year. This waste consists of organic waste, plastic, paper, and other waste. This is exacerbated by the existence of activities or businesses that produce products in single-use packaging such as plastic. The government itself has issued regulations regarding the Roadmap for Waste Reduction by Producers through the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation Number P75/MenLHK/Setjen/Kum.1/10/2019. This certainly requires support from both producers and consumers. To realize sustainable development goals, namely responsible consumption and production, waste management, in this case, the production waste of beneng taro-based products, must be managed responsibly. This study employs various methods, including zero-waste socialization, the development of beneng taro waste management applications, assistance programs for waste management, and the formulation of policies governing beneng taro waste management. The application of the zero-waste concept, emphasizing waste reduction, emerges as a viable strategy. By adopting environmentally sustainable waste management practices, particularly in the production of beneng taro-based products, we contribute significantly to the realization of sustainable development goals.
